In a near future, a group of people walk around a luxury house talking to themselves with their eyes closed.Their bodies inhabit the house, but their minds do not: They live in the virtual alienation provided to them by advanced simulation technologies inserted into their brains.
The security cameras only show the dog with his eyes open. What he sees through the windows is devastating: The house is surrounded by barred borders and police controls that try to protect it from the violent threat of external reality.
This short film contrasts the current phenomena of global hyperconnectivity in the network with those of borders and territorial shielding, accentuating the trait that is becoming more and more common among them: the growing control of accessibility.
En un futuro próximo, un grupo de personas se pasean por una casa de lujo hablando solas y con los ojos cerrados. Sus cuerpos habitan la casa, pero sus mentes no: viven en la alienación virtual que les proporcionan unas avanzadas tecnologías de simulacro insertadas en el cerebro.
Las cámaras de seguridad del edificio sólo muestran con los ojos abiertos al perro de la familia. Lo que mira por las ventanas es desolador: la casa se encuentra rodeada de fronteras enrejadas y controles policiales que intentan protegerla de la amenaza violenta de lo real externo.
Este cortometraje contrapone los actuales fenómenos de hiperconectividad global en red con los de frontera y blindaje territorial, acentuando el rasgo que va haciéndose cada vez más común entre ellos: el control creciente de la accesibilidad.
